This week we  are reading "Saying We Share: Proverbs and Fables", by Norma Tong Lee.  This collection shows how proverbs with similar meanings can be found throughout the world.  You may enjoy discussing the proverbs and the fables, or short tales that teach a moral, in the second part of the book.  Together you can develop and explore your child's language skills.

MATH

 Our class is learning about multiplication. You can expect to see work that provides practice in multiplying. We will also be learning about the special properties and rules that apply to 0 and 1.  During this unit, students should practice and memorize basic multiplication facts.

Story of the Week

This week we are reading “Ramona Forever", by Beverly Clearly. In this story, Ramona, who has always been a little sister, becomes a big sister too, when her mother has  a baby.
